WINTHORPE VILLAGE, 
We are part of the East Trent Group of Churches, which is part of the Newark & Southwell Deanery in the Southwell and Nottingham Diocese. Our East Trent Group consists of eleven parishes and four communities.
We would be pleased to see you at any of our services. Of course you are also welcome to attend any of the services held in the other ten churches in our group – interaction between the churches is actively encouraged.
Periodically the eleven churches combine for a special service, to which everyone is very welcome.
The services in Winthorpe Church are advertised in the monthly magazine 'Focal Point' which is available at the beginning of each month. They are also advertised on the noticeboards opposite the entrance to Woodlands and by the church gate. The worship is taken from Common Worship and the Book of Common Prayer.
You are invited to remain after the service for tea, coffee, and fellowship.
We occasionally have a Songs of Praise, when we ask for requests for favourite hymns from the villagers for inclusion in the service.
We have a band of ladies who keep the church supplied with flowers and dedicated people who keep the church clean and the brasses sparkling. We also have a team of bellringers. We are exceedingly grateful as they are all volunteers - more are needed.
In 2006 we had a Loop System installed to help those of us with hearing difficulties. This has enhanced the service for many. As yet the Church has no toilet facility but this is under discussion.
The Church remains locked between services for insurance purposes but is open every Thursday for Open Church from 1.30 to 3.30pm for visitors to look around and maybe spend a few quiet moments perusing the many stained glass windows. All are welcome!
